Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is pleased to offer a Team Practice and Performance Manager position within Social Care Services.

We currently have an opportunity for a Team Practice and Performance Manager within the Taf Ely Community Mental Health Team. The team works with adults with severe and enduring mental disorders and a level of mental distress that pervades across a person’s life so that their function is significantly affected. The team also works with adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use difficulties and covers the Taf Ely area of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The team are based in Dewi Sant Health Park, Albert Road, Pontypridd, CF37 1LB and are a multidisciplinary team made up of Principal Social Workers and Social Workers, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Health Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists and Psychologists. The team is co-located with the Independent Living Service who cover the whole of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The Social Worker will be joining an experienced and supportive team. We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic manager to effectively manage the Social Work team and support the wider team.
The successful candidate will work closely with health and other partners in a quality service to those who require support from secondary mental health services within Taf Ely, understanding the strengths and challenges of multi-disciplinary working and be able to deliver an effective and efficient service to the public. There is a strong commitment to practice learning and education within adult social care which you will be expected to contribute to.
You must possess a professional recognised Social Work qualification and be expected to be registered and maintain your registration as a 'Social Worker' with Social Care Wales on appointment.
