EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY SERVICE
Educational Psychologist 1.0 fte - Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Start date - February 2025
Soulbury Scale A 3-8 + up to 3 SPA points. Existing SPA points will be honoured.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is a dynamic and innovative service supporting young people, their families and schools across a diverse geographical area. We are committed to working together with parents/carers, schools and partner agencies to help all children and young people to ‘build a better future’.
The service provides a flexible service delivery model that ensures psychological support is provided in the most effective and efficient way. We provide wide ranging support in response to a request for our involvement (systemic support, problem solving and reflection, consultation and formulation and direct involvement with CYP) and all team members are actively engaged in multi-agency work, interdisciplinary work, project work and action-based research.
Our service particularly values the importance of reflective practices and provides a variety of opportunities for staff to receive regular individual and group supervision as well as weekly reflection sessions with peers to support you in your role. You will also receive a tailored induction process and ongoing mentoring.
You will enjoy working with a large and friendly team of fully qualified Educational Psychologists, who have a wide range of interests and expertise. The team is flexible in its approach to meeting diverse community needs and currently has a number of specialist subgroups including;
