Service Engineer
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday (plus participation in an out of hours breakdown and repair service on a rota basis)

Salary: £24,702 pa (GR5)

Our business ventures are diverse and include the Servicing of community equipment, Community equipment installations, Assistive Technology the production and manufacture of PVCu windows, and a retail outlet, Vision Mobility.
Vision Products is a customer focusing business and is currently looking to recruit a Service Engineer to join our Technology & Servicing team providing professional repairs and maintenance of equipment within our community.
You will be working with a friendly and responsive team. No working day will be the same as you meet different clients and perform services and repairs to a variety of different equipment.
Desirable experience/applicants
The job involves driving to various client’s homes throughout the working day performing servicing and repairs on a variety of equipment, recording details of the jobs completed on an electronic tablet and relaying any issues back to the relevant supervisor or office staff. A full UK driving licence is essential.
This role would suit someone with a can-do attitude, who is competent with hand held tools and basic testing equipment. You will be working with clients with varying needs so being compassionate and patient is essential for this role.
Previous experience within a similar environment is welcome but not essential. Experience of testing / fault finding on electrical and mechanical products is essential and full training will be given while you learn about our procedures and the variety of equipment you will be working on.
Duties will include:
Adhering to LOLER regulations and perform load/weight tests.
Ensuring all equipment is safe to use by carrying out relevant repairs and servicing.
Ensuring your van stock is replenished and all tools and testing equipment is kept in good order.
Competently close down jobs by electronic recording of tests undertaken using handheld or mobile devices.
