New 3-19 ADDITIONAL LEARNING NEEDS SCHOOL

HEADTEACHER 

Salary: L27 – L33 (£95,984 - £111,187 Per Annum)

Start Date:1^st September 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

The temporary Governing Body of the new 3-19 Additional Learning Needs School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, inspirational and progressive Headteacher with effect from 1^st September 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter). 

The successful applicant will play a lead role in the creation and implementation of a new staff structure, as well as organising the transition arrangements that will be crucial in establishing a new 3-19 ALN School. The new school will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities following a £41M Sustainable Communities for Learning investment and is planned for opening in the autumn term 2026.

We are seeking to create a nurturing, welcoming and friendly environment with a strong sense of community.  Staff within our School should demonstrate a passion and commitment, through strong teamwork, that results in good learner outcomes and a positive and enjoyable learning experiences for our pupils.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:-

• has substantial senior leadership experience and proven track record within a special school setting

• is an excellent communicator who will inspire children, parents and staff alike;
• will develop and build partnerships with our families;

• has a strong commitment to working in partnership with staff, governors, parents and the wider community; and
• has experience working with a range of external agencies to establish and deliver therapeutic services to learners.
